Privacy

Privacy concerns the “right to be left alone”, as formulated by Bandeis back in 1890, a right fundamental to humans and established in section 71 and 72 of the Danish constitution. However, the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) may potentially lead to invasion of privacy, if we do not carefully design the ways we use it. Following this, there is a need for initiatives and solutions that protect the private sphere of citizens without placing unnecessary restrictions on utilising the technological potential.
